Phyllis Diller overlooked at Oscar In Memoriam

Born in Lima Ohio, Phyllis Diller was overlooked in the 2013 Oscar In Memoriam. She took "glamour" and turned it on its head in a fun, sardonic but still playful way. I thought she fit the mold of an Adorable Diabolical Damsel. She passed away last August 20th, 2012. She was 95. I always liked her jokes about her "husband" Fang. Darn that guy.

Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends - Eurotrish

This was one of the few episodes of Foster's I've ever seen, and it just happened to have Eurotrish in it. I didn't get to see the whole thing, but she looked like a fun character. She has a cute face and I like her eyes. Her outfit is great, especially the shoes! But I read that her singing drove everyone crazy.

Hug Life

I like Philip Lumbang's work, Hug Life, instead of thug life, I guess.
He has cute characters that are bold and positive, and not just sickly sweet.

But I saw this last year on Barham across from Oakwood Apartments near Universal City. It's cool, but it looks like it was done by someone else. It's been painted over now.

It's signed "becca". Sort of like Roger Rabbit, except it's one of Philip's bears in James Bond mode. And instead of Jessica Rabbit, he has a Marilyn Monroe-esque, uh, companion. But the bear seems pretty blase' about it. He's definitely in charge. Shaken, not stirred. Maybe he's drinking because he didn't get the lead in "Skyfall". Cheers to cleaning up, after the Oscars.

Flamingo Waitress Samba dance mocap

Here is my Flamingo Waitress character dancing. The rig and mocap animation are copyright The paint weights are messed up, but that's my fault, especially on her skate wheels. But I couldn't resist trying this in Maximo. The dancing really seems to bring her to life, but it is not what I expected.

Happy Chinese New Year! Year of the Snake

Happy Chinese New Year! Hope the Year of the Snake can be heroic.

Copyright Dreamworks SKG. First time I've seen a snake as a hero, and it is a female. (This time I'll leave it to the pros.)
